If you want to make your own affirmation, follow these steps:
Choose to use a particular area, behaviour, or belief that you are struggling with.
Do you want to be more patient, for example? Or do you want to be more productive?

As if it were already happening, write and speak your affirmation. This makes you more likely to believe that the statement is true right now. For example, if you are nervous about speaking in front of a group, an affirmation like “I am well-prepared and well-rehearsed, and I can give a great presentation” would be a great one to use.
Negatives can be turned into positives.
If you’re having trouble with negative self-talk, make a list of a persistent thoughts which are bothering you. Then use an affirmation which is diametrically opposed to that thought and belief.
For example, if you have a habit of thinking, “I’m not talented enough to run my business,” change your thinking and write a positive affirmation like, “I am a skilled and experienced professional.”
Say it with emotion.
